What a beautiful way to begin our day and our journey together at Mannix Campus.
Our first Community Mass was a wonderful celebration that brought together our students, staff, families and Salesian community to celebrate the Eucharist — just as Don Bosco did with the young people of his first Oratory.
As a parish that evangelises, we are truly blessed to have the Salesians as part of our community, supporting and guiding our students and staff through meaningful experiences of faith.
In a world that can feel so busy, with so many competing demands and activities, moments like these give us the opportunity to pause, reflect and focus on what truly matters. They invite us to consider: Who am I, and how can I become a better person — for myself, for the people in my life and for the world around me? How can I spread love and kindness where it is needed most?
Our Mass was celebrated in the Bartholomew Garelli Gathering Space, on the cobbled carpet representing the streets of Turin where Don Bosco began his work with young people. We were surrounded by our beautiful stained-glass windows, heralding the symbols of the Salesian Coat of Arms and College Crest, as well as the Gospel motifs that remind us of who we are first and foremost: a Catholic school in the Salesian tradition.
Here, our young people are invited to experience a community of faith grounded in Reason, Religion and Loving Kindness — a community where they are known, valued and encouraged to become the best versions of themselves.
A heartfelt thank you to all the students, staff, parents and families who joined us this morning. Your presence helped make our first Community Mass such a beautiful and meaningful celebration, and a wonderful way to begin our day together.
