Fr Greg Chambers SDB

Rector

Fr Greg Chambers, who has been a member of the Salesian Order for over fifty years, is currently Rector of Salesian College Chadstone and Chairperson of its present Advisory Council.  He has a deep knowledge and appreciation of the school, having been a past student (1962 – 1967) and former principal (1995 to 2001).  In addition, he has served as Principal of two other Salesian schools in Australia and has led the Salesian Province of Australia – Pacific from 2012 to 2017 (inclusive).  In terms of educational governance, Fr Chambers has been involved at board level with Salesian schools in Hobart, Tasmania and in Sunbury, Ferntree Gully and Chadstone, Victoria.

Mrs Rita Davis 

Current Parent and Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)

Rita Davis (current parent) is a finance professional with 29 years’ experience in both the private and public sectors. A Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Rita has experience in resource management, financial analysis, performance evaluation, stakeholder management, regulation, compliance and governance. With a longstanding interest in education, Rita has worked in vocational education, higher education and adult community education for over 15 years, which included over 11 years at the Victorian Department of Education and Training. Rita is former Chair of the Holy Eucharist Parish Education Board, and worked to support charities in meeting their compliance obligations at the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission (ACNC). Rita is a director, treasurer and company secretary of Yoga Australia.

Mrs Rosemary Fazio 

Education Professional

Rosemary Fazio is a current parent with a longstanding connection to the Salesian Community in Chadstone. As a former Learning Support Officer at Shelford Girls’ Grammar, Rosemary is passionate about creating a safe learning environment, equipping herself with evidence-based knowledge and a holistic approach to education. With a strong passion for lifelong learning, Rosemary recently acquired a qualification in Education Support and is currently studying the Orton Gillingham Approach, a direct, multisensory approach to teaching literacy and maths. Rosemary has had experience founding and operating a small business.

Associate Professor Peter Foley

Past Student and World-Renowned Clinical Dermatologist

Associate Professor Peter Foley (past student) is a world-renowned clinical dermatologist with a wealth of experience in the treatment of psoriasis. Currently Associate Professor, Department of Medicine (Dermatology) at The University of Melbourne, Peter is also Director of Research at the Skin & Cancer Foundation Inc, and a visiting dermatologist at the Photobiology, Phototherapy and Biologics Clinics at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Peter is Australia’s only councillor on the International Psoriasis Council, has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and has been an investigator in over 50 clinical trials.

Fr Bernie Graham sdb

Salesian Delegate

Fr Bernie Graham has been a Salesian for over 40 years. He is an experienced educator and has held leadership positions in a several Salesian schools, including that of Principal. He has qualifications in Education, Theology and Leadership. He has more recently held positions of leadership within the Salesian Province, particularly as Delegate for Youth Ministry and Vice Provincial. With the new governance structure, he has been appointed Delegate for Salesian Schools and represents the Salesian Province as a Director on the Salesian College Board. He has experience in educational governance in both Victoria and Tasmania at school and system level. After the heart of Don Bosco, he has a passion for the education and evangelisation of the young.

Mr Philip Heaphy

Water Policy Executive

Philip Heaphy has over 30 years’ experience in the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments in water management policy. Over the past 20 years, Philip has held a variety of senior executive positions in various Departments responsible for the water portfolio. With a strong personal interest in policy, strategy and governance, Philip is passionate about delivering quality outcomes for public benefit organisations. Philip was Chair of the St Mary Magdalene’s Primary School Education Board from 2004 to 2013, and a member of the Catholic Education Office’s School Board Chairs’ Advisory Committee during this period. In his public service career, Philip has represented his Division, Department and the Victorian Government on numerous working groups, committees, project control boards and senior officer groups.

Mr Stephen J. Moloney

Barrister

A barrister for over 27 years, Stephen Moloney practises in corporate and commercial law, administrative and constitutional law, equity, professional negligence, insurance, banking and finance, defamation, trade practices, property law, medical negligence and professional discipline. He particularly specialises in public law and the regulation of medical practitioners throughout Australia. Stephen is the Chairperson of the Medicare Participation Review Committee of Australia and an ex officio member of The Alfred Hospital Human Research Ethics Committee. Long associated with the Salesians and their charism, Stephen is the nephew of Salesian priest Fr Frank Moloney, a world-renowned Biblical scholar.
