In Australia, LFC International Academy is a partnership project between the world-famous football club and the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE), Australia’s leading independent higher education provider for specialist degrees in Sport, Education, Health, Sport Business and Dance.
The vision for the new high-performance soccer program at Salesian is to use those combined resources to create an environment that mirrors the one experienced by players on a high-performance pathway in the UK.
This involves developing a players’ social and mental growth, career paths, and life skills like leadership, teamwork, and communication. In addition to a high quality and authentic LFC football program that develops players’ technical, tactical, and physical skills.
Players and students will not be the only ones to gain from this collaboration. Additionally, LFC will offer local coaches the chance to receive expert training and accreditation for this project. Central to our strategy is the development of local coaches through our education and development opportunities.
