Community Partnerships

Salesian College Chadstone is excited to announce a new community partnership with Liverpool FC International Academy Australia. This new partnership will mark the first school in metropolitan Melbourne to offer an exclusive Liverpool FC Academy high-performance soccer school program commencing in February 2023.

In addition to the high-performance soccer program, the partnership with Liverpool FC will also see the school host a range of Liverpool FC community training and holiday programs available to all aspiring players aged 6-16 years, boys and girls in the surrounding community.

In Australia, LFC International Academy is a partnership project between the world-famous football club and the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE), Australia’s leading independent higher education provider for specialist degrees in Sport, Education, Health, Sport Business and Dance.

The vision for the new high-performance soccer program at Salesian is to use those combined resources to create an environment that mirrors the one experienced by players on a high-performance pathway in the UK.

This involves developing a players’ social and mental growth, career paths, and life skills like leadership, teamwork, and communication in addition to a high quality and authentic LFC football program that develops players’ technical, tactical, and physical skills.

Players and students will not be the only ones to gain from this collaboration. Additionally, LFC will offer local coaches the chance to receive expert training and accreditation for this project. Central to our strategy is the development of local coaches through our education and development opportunities.

To find out more about this exciting new collaboration and how this benefits our students, come along to our Sports Academy Information Evening on Monday 3 April, 2023.  Register here.
