Scholarships

Since the inception of our Scholarship Program in 2001, many recipients have gone on to achieve amazing ATAR results and to perform exceptionally well in their university courses, and are now entering the workforce as fine examples of Salesian men.

The outstanding results achieved by Salesian College students must be attributed to the dedication and commitment of teaching staff and the pastoral care and personal development programs offered at the College, fostering an environment of support and care for each individual student. To enable boys to be empowered to take control of their learning, a vast array of elective choices is available to them in the formative years, when they are beginning to understand who they are and where they are headed. As is truly characteristic of a Salesian Education, we encourage boys to set personal goals that will allow them to achieve at the highest level, and guide them to adopt a rigorous study ethic and dedicate themselves to do their best.

Boys are competitive by nature and, in essence, the attainment of a scholarship at each year level is a prize for winning, for being one of the best, for achieving at the highest level. The ultimate competition is to maintain and build on the intensity from the early year levels into the senior years.

Devised to encourage our students at each year level to achieve their personal best, the College Scholarship Program aims to recognise, reinforce and reward high achieving students, from the excited, nervous Grade 6 boys entering the College, to the fine, motivated Year 11 students taking scholarships into their final year of schooling. Salesian College Chadstone is committed to awarding scholarships on an annual basis to recognise personal excellence in curricular and co-curricular activities.
