“The art of Chinese floral arrangement is more than just decoration—it’s a centuries-old tradition rooted in philosophy, aesthetics, and cultural symbolism.”
On their China Academic trip, our Biretta students and Chinese Language students embraced this tradition, learning the intricate techniques of floral making to create heartfelt gifts for their mothers for Mother’s Day. Inspired by the elegance and meaning behind each bloom, they crafted arrangements that symbolize love, gratitude, and harmony—values deeply embedded in Chinese culture.
Our year Chinese Language and Biretta students have just returned from their China trip. We’re so excited to share more stories with you about this exciting cultural exchange, and how this experience has fostered independence and global citizenship in our boys.
