Year 8 Camp was a great experience and one of my favourites at Salesian College so far. This year, we went to Phillip Island Adventure Resort, giving many of us the chance to visit a new location that we had never been to before.
Some of the activities we got to participate in were the flying fox, a high ropes course, A Maze’N Things (conveniently located right next to the camp) and the giant swing, which was my personal favourite.
This camp gave us many opportunities to try new things and overcome challenges, but I think my favourite part was being with my friends and having the opportunity to spend time together outside of school. We built teamwork skills, got the chance to know each other better and all had an awesome time despite the weather. We made lots of memories together that I will never forget.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to all the teachers who came on camp and helped us out because without them, this experience would not have been possible.
