When we first went to Chongqing No.7, we were greeted and ushered by their friendly students and teachers. The first significant part of our visit was a board meeting where the partnership between Chongqing No.7 and Salesian College Chadstone was made official, and the school prepared dancers and musicians which was a warm welcome to us as guests. After that, we immersed ourselves into woodwork, tie dye making and sport. On Day 2 at Chongqing No.7, the school had prepared a kung fu demonstration, sport session (Basketball or soccer), breakdancing, kite making and a music class on how to play the Chinese flute. Day 3 was a short day, where we only came to play sports which consisted of basketball, badminton and ultimate frisbee against their students which was a perfect mix of fun and competitive.
On the final day, although sad to leave our new friends so soon, we were all overall happy in our visit to Chongqing No.7. During the ceremony, speakers from both schools took the centre stage to appreciate the other school and this new partnership. We then concluded the ceremony by having a gift exchange. Whilst we were at their school, they provided us with unique lunches which energized us to power through the activities. Aside from their entertaining activities and mouth-watering lunches, the one thing we all admired is their talent. Be it sports, music or art, all the kids approached these activities with full enthusiasm and skill.
Overall, I really enjoyed visiting Chongqing No.7 and I’m sure future students who will visit will enjoy the experience.
