Last Thursday morning, we welcomed Emma Ashlee and Cindy from Resource Smart Schools Victoria for an engaging biodiversity and habitat assessment. With the enthusiastic support of 25 student volunteers, we explored our campus’s natural features such as canopy and mulch cover, native vs. exotic tree ratios, understorey vegetation, and the presence of habitat elements like rocks and logs. During our wildlife audit, we were excited to spot a skink and several cockatoos. Looking ahead, we’re excited to develop new initiatives to further enhance our habitat for native species in the coming year.
