Biretta Scienceworks Excursion

What if we could improve the world through fun? That’s exactly what 8B students explored during their recent excursion to Scienceworks. They participated in a Design Sprint where they learned about the playful properties of air and how these can be used to create positive social change. Through hands-on activities, they engaged with the physics of air, explored the Air Playground and Beyond Perception exhibits, and even built their own prototypes of solutions. It was incredible to watch our students use creativity and design thinking to consider how small actions can make a big difference.

Works of SCIENCE [at scienceworks ofc]”

It all began in the boiler room
Where we made all our paper planes
We were gonna test them soon
Hoping they aren’t lame

We were told not to make a sound
When they taught us about designing
Then we went to the air playground
Where ideas began intertwining

Bouncy castles, jets and fans
Balloons and big beach balls
Everything our eyes could stand
Within the confines of the walls

Then we explored a room of illusions
Where we gathered our thoughts and reflected
Some were enveloped in confusion
Whilst others were unaffected

Gathered our thoughts on the upcoming
And we saw many problems
Saw what the world was becoming
And decided that we have to solve them

Then we sketched up our plans
We started fast just like a race
Ideas for transport and cool trash cans
To make our world a better place
