ACC Sports Report

Intermediate Sport (Yr 9 & Yr 10)
Our Year 10 Basketball teams faced a tough away challenge against St Joseph’s FTG, with both the A’s and B’s unable to match their opponents, going down 75–47 (A’s) and 66–23 (B’s) respectively. The Year 9 Basketball teams also came up against strong St Bede’s (Mentone) sides, falling 80–55 in the A’s and 60–40 in the B’s. The Year 10 Table Tennis team enjoyed an impressive 10–5 victory over De La Salle, producing several strong individual performances throughout the afternoon. The Year 9 Table Tennis team was involved in a thrilling contest against Parade, narrowly going down 8–7. On the hockey field, both the Year 10 and Year 9 teams battled hard against St Bede’s (Mentone) but were defeated 6–0 and 4–1.

Senior Sport (Yr 11 & Yr 12)
Our Senior Basketball teams produced mixed results against St Mary’s. The B’s recorded an excellent 56–33 victory through strong teamwork and consistent execution, while the A’s were defeated 50–33 despite competing hard throughout the contest. The Senior Hockey team fought hard against St Bede’s (Mentone) but went down 4–2 after an even contest for much of the game. The Senior Table Tennis team delivered one of the standout performances of the round, producing a dominant 15–0 victory over Whitefriars with an outstanding display across every match.

Junior Sport (Yr 7 & Yr 8)
Our junior hockey teams enjoyed an outstanding afternoon, with the Year 7 team defeating St Bernard’s 2–0 and the Year 8 team recording a strong 2–0 away victory over Parade through disciplined defensive efforts and clinical finishing. On the basketball court, the Year 7 teams were defeated by Whitefriars, going down 53–30 and 48–29, while the Year 8 teams split their results against St Bede’s (Mentone), with the A’s recording an impressive 53–30 win before the B’s were defeated 94–22. In Table Tennis, the Year 8 team secured a thrilling 8–7 victory over Parade in a closely fought contest, while the Year 7 team was defeated 12–3 despite showing resilience throughout the afternoon. Overall, our junior teams displayed excellent effort and sportsmanship, with several encouraging performances to build on in the coming weeks.
