Year 10 Cricket
The Year 10 Cricket team travelled to Caulfield to take on De La Salle. Bowling first, the boys were outstanding with the ball, restricting De La Salle to 115. In reply, Salesian’s batters rose to the challenge, finding the boundary regularly and successfully chasing down the total to record their first win of the season. A special mention to Noah Montgomery, who starred with both bat and ball, taking 2 wickets and scoring an impressive 53 runs.
Final Score: Salesian 6/116 defeated De La Salle 3/115.
Year 9 Cricket
The Year 9 team hosted St Bernard’s at home. After electing to bat first, Salesian put together a total of 71 runs. Despite a challenging innings with the bat, the boys showed great determination in the field, bowling superbly to dismiss St Bernard’s for just 52 runs in an incredible team effort. Congratulations to Ryan Pandey, who top-scored with 35 runs and claimed 3 wickets.
Final Score: Salesian 9/71 defeated St Bernard’s 10/52.
Year 8 Cricket
The Year 8 Cricket team travelled to St Joseph’s FTG for their second match of the season. Bowling first, the boys put in a solid performance to restrict St Joseph’s to 121. Despite a determined effort with the bat, Salesian fell just short, finishing on 55 after 20 overs.
Final Score: St Joseph’s FTG 6/121 defeated Salesian 5/55.
Year 7 Cricket
The Year 7 team were on the road this week to face Mazenod. After winning the toss and batting first, Salesian set a competitive target of 96. The boys bowled with great intensity and fought hard right to the end, but Mazenod managed to chase down the total in the 19th over. A special mention to Thomas Murphy, who was a standout performer with 22 runs.
Final Score: Mazenod 4/100 defeated Salesian 7/96.
ACC Volleyball
Year 10 Volleyball
The Year 10 Volleyball team travelled to St Joseph’s FTG for an exciting round of matches. The A team played out a thrilling, nail-biting contest but were narrowly edged out in the final set. A great effort from the boys, with Alden Nguyen a standout performer for the A’s.
Final Score: St Joseph’s FTG 2 Sets (65 Points) defeated Salesian 1 Set (55 Points).
The B team also showed strong teamwork and determination throughout their match but couldn’t quite overcome their opponents on the day.
Final Score: St Joseph’s FTG 3 Sets (75 Points) defeated Salesian 0 Sets (50 Points).
Year 9 Volleyball
The Year 9s were back at home this week, taking on Parade. The A team fought hard in a competitive match but couldn’t get across the line. Well done to Thayaa Palanivel, who was a standout for the A’s.
Final Score: Parade 2 Sets (83 Points) defeated Salesian 1 Set (58 Points).
The B team’s match was another tight battle, with the boys narrowly going down in a close finish. Congratulations to Declan Rowe, who was impressive for the B’s.
Final Score: Parade 2 Sets (70 Points) defeated Salesian 1 Set (63 Points).
Year 8 Volleyball
The Year 8 Volleyball teams were on the road again this week, taking on a strong Parade outfit. Both the A and B teams competed with great energy and determination, showing plenty of spirit throughout their matches. Despite their efforts, the results didn’t fall in Salesian’s favour this time. Well done to Albert Phung and Yohan Marshall, who were both standouts for their teams.
Final Scores: Parade 3 Sets (75 Points) defeated Salesian 0 Sets (56 Points) (A’s); Parade 2 Sets (72 Points) defeated Salesian 1 Set (70 Points) (B’s).
Year 7 Volleyball
The Year 7 Volleyball team returned to Oakleigh Recreation Centre this week to take on Parade. The A team displayed outstanding teamwork and composure, coming out on top in a thrilling contest.
Final Score: Salesian 2 Sets (73 Points) defeated Parade 1 Set (60 Points).
The B team also put in a fantastic performance, fighting hard and taking the match right down to the wire, but just fell short in a close finish.
Final Score: Parade 2 Sets (69 Points) defeated Salesian 1 Set (61 Points).

Year 10 Tennis
The Year 10 Tennis team hit the road once again, travelling to Malvern to face De La Salle. The boys started strongly and never looked back, maintaining control throughout the day to secure a convincing win and move to a 2–0 record for the season. A great all-round team effort, with Zac Millar standing out for Salesian.
Final Score: Salesian 11 Sets (92 Games) defeated De La Salle 1 Set (27 Games).
Year 9 Tennis
The Year 9 team were back on home courts this week, taking on a talented Parade outfit. Despite showing great effort, skill, and determination, the boys were unable to match their opponents on the day. Congratulations to Bryson Truong, who was among the best players for Salesian.
Final Score: Parade 12 Sets (96 Games) defeated Salesian 0 Sets (33 Games).
Year 8 Tennis
The Year 8 Tennis team were on the road again this week, travelling to Whitefriars for another challenging matchup. The boys competed hard across all matches and continued to show improvement in their play but ultimately couldn’t overcome a strong Whitefriars side.
Final Score: Whitefriars 10 Sets (66 Games) defeated Salesian 2 Sets (31 Games).
Year 7 Tennis
The Year 7 Tennis team were back on home courts this week, taking on a strong Mazenod side. In a tightly contested fixture, the boys displayed great determination and skill throughout their matches but ultimately went down to Mazenod. Well done to Roman Shrestha, who was a standout for the team.
Final Score: Mazenod 10 Sets (63 Games) defeated Salesian 2 Sets (34 Games).
