ACC Cricket
Year 8 Cricket: The Year 8 cricket boys took on St Bede’s at Le Page Park. The boys won the toss and elected to bat. They started well but didn’t get a massive score on the board for St. Bede’s to chase down. We finished with 5/93 off 20 overs. The boys needed to bowl well, and they did, but St. Bede’s was too strong in the end; they chased this total down in 19 overs. Well done on the season, boys, and hopefully, you can go one further next year.
ACC Tennis
Year 10 Tennis: The Year 10 tennis boys had a monster task in facing St. Bernard’s College at St. Bernard’s to win the grand final and be known as the best Year 10 ACC tennis team in 2023 for division 1. The boys knew it would be a tough matchup, especially with St. Bernard’s having the home advantage. The boys did well and competed throughout the singles and doubles games. Unfortunately, they didn’t get the job done, and St. Bernard’s were too good on the day. The final scores were St. Bernard’s 10 sets and 90 games to Salesian 2 sets and 57 games. Well done, boys, on making the grand final and the whole season. Hopefully, these boys can go one further next year!
