This morning, Salesian College Chadstone was filled with excitement as we welcomed our Year 7 students for their first day. From a few nervous moments to plenty of happy smiles (and blazers still being grown into), our newest students took their first steps as members of our Salesian community.
Following a warm welcome from our College Leadership team, parents then helped students move into their Oratory groups, where they began connecting with their peers and teachers. Parents then gathered in the hall to learn more about the year ahead and took part in a liturgy, where they were invited to come forward, light a candle and offer a prayer for their son’s journey in the year to come.
We hope our Year 7 students felt a strong sense of belonging and connection on their first day.
