This week, students attended an information session to learn about the connection with St Mary’s Salesian Amateur Football Club and the opportunity to enhance our football pathway here at the college.
Presented by current Salesian teacher and Men’s Senior Coach, Heath Chipperfield, students learnt about opportunities available, as well as the historical background behind the football club, including the 2007 merger between St Mary’s FC and Old Salesian FC. In further developments, the club will be looking to be ‘Back at Bosco in 2027’, playing home games on the Bosco Oval for the first time since the merger, whilst also wearing the Salesian silver, red and blue colours. This is exciting news as we look to further foster the relationship between the college and the football club.
Lastly, we extend our thanks to all students for attending, as well as Matt Higgins (U19’s Coach), and Senior Co-Captains Ben Tricarico and Hamish MacMillan, and current U19’s players Ned Sutherland and Brady Shipton, who gave up their time to attend and speak and answer questions.
Whether you are a footballer, supporter, or looking to be involved in some capacity, we invite you to sign up for further information.
