Today, Festival Day was a celebration of the vibrant people, cultures and spirit that make up our College community. The day began with our flag procession, representing the many cultures and backgrounds within our community, followed by Mass in Kimberley Hall.
Festival Week is a wonderful example of our community living out our Salesian Charter of a home, school, parish and playground where young people meet and enjoy themselves. The week provides an opportunity to celebrate diversity, strengthen relationships and recognise that we are part of a global Salesian family.
Throughout the week, students and staff came together for a range of games and activities. A highlight from today was the ever popular dunk tank, where students took great delight in dunking staff throughout the day!
Students and staff also faced off in a fiercely contested lunchtime basketball match between College staff and our Year 7 and 8 students. After a competitive game, the staff managed to take home the win … until next year, when the students will no doubt be looking for redemption!
A special thank you to a number of our College alumni who joined us throughout the day and generously assisted at our staff coffee station. It was wonderful to welcome them back to the College and have them share in the spirit of Festival Day with our community.
Enjoy the gallery of photos as we look back on a wonderful celebration of culture, connection and community spirit.
