Overall Winner Abel Ebi-Joseph shares his reflections and insights from the competition below:
“Having not participated in the McKertich Public Speaking Competition in previous years, the event has lived up to its reputation – bringing together the most moving and inspirational speeches from all year levels and celebrating the hard work of students. My topic for the night was the ‘Illusion of Sustainability’ and I was fortunate enough to be chosen as the winner of the competition. What I appreciate most about the competition is its flexibility on topics, which allows students to explore issues and ideas that genuinely interest them”.
