In recognition of Sir Doug Nicholls Reconciliation Round, our AFL Senior ACC team proudly played in a Reconciliation Week football match against De La Salle at the iconic RSEA Park in Moorabbin.
In this inaugural game, our students took to the field unveiling our Salesian College Chadstone indigenous jumper, symbolising unity and respect.
The significance of the occasion was further magnified as our students were warmly welcomed to country through a traditional smoking ceremony conducted by Steve Ulula Parker, a proud Boonwurrung man.
As we reflect on this memorable event, we extend our gratitude to the ACC, St Kilda Football Club and Steve Ulula Parker and staff from De La Salle and Salesian College Chadstone for bringing this match together. We eagerly anticipate the journey ahead, committed to fostering reconciliation and understanding within our community.
