In the latter part of Term 1, a group of 26 Sports Academy students accompanied by 4 staff members embarked on an enriching journey to attend the 2024 Sports Academy Performance Camp. This annual event was hosted at the prestigious Surfing Australia High Performance Centre (HPC), recognised as an Olympic Training Centre, situated in Casuarina, NSW.
During the four-day camp, students were immersed in a series of activities designed to challenge and inspire. These included team-building exercises and a variety of training activities such as surfing, trampolining, skating, yoga, gym sessions, and recovery baths. These experiences not only pushed the students out of their comfort zones but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and personal growth.
We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to return with another group of Sports Academy students next year. The success and positive impact of this camp serve as a testament to the ongoing commitment and dedication of our students and staff to strive for excellence in sports and personal development.
