On Tuesday October 3 the school was delighted to host the duo DACY for a lunchtime concert.
1/2 of the duo, Jack Robertson, is an ex-student of Salesian College Chadstone; graduating in 2017.
Senior Music students were able to watch the band set up and do a soundcheck before the gig and also had an opportunity to ask them questions.
It was in term 4 of 2017 that Jack and Ruby were signed to EMI and since then they have released an album (shelved due to Covid), toured as the opening act for Pete Murray and released an EP on Friday October 6.
It was great to see that studying music can lead to a career! Persistence + hard work + some luck.
While Ruby plays keyboards and sings, Jack plays guitar, sings and also uses his loop station to play drums and add extra vocal harmonies.
