ACC Cricket

Year 10 Cricket – The year 10 cricket boys played St. Bede’s at Salesian College. Salesian won the toss and sent St. Bede’s in to bat. The boys have a very strong bowling line up but on the day St. Bede’s were too strong. The final scores were St. Bede’s 5/162 off 20 overs and Salesian 9/78 off 20 overs. Amongst the best were Ben Brooks, Avaan Khalil and Jackson Leopold.

Year 9 Cricket – The year 9 cricket boys played St. Joseph’s FTG at Wally Tew Reserve. St. Joseph’s FTG won the toss and sent Salesian to bat first. The boys made 10/87 off 19 overs. The boys have a strong bowling line up but couldn’t get the win on this occasion with St. Joseph’s chasing it down in 17 overs. Amongst the best were Julian Severino, Sam Iverson and Roshan Gunatilake.

Year 8 Cricket – The year 8 cricket boys played St. Bede’s at Salesian College. The boys were very keen to play on home turf again. Salesian won the toss and sent St. Bede’s into bat. The bowling was very tight and they were kept to 6/96 off 20 overs. Unfortunately the boys couldn’t chase the total down with scoring 8/92 off the 20 overs. A good match for the boys but couldn’t get the win. Amongst the best were Harly Billing, Joel Ajani and Nathan D’Mello.

Year 7 Cricket – The year 7 boys played De La Salle at Basil Reserve. The boys played really well in a tight one on De La Salle’s home ground. Salesian batted first with getting a score of 8/107 off 20 overs. De La Salle came into bat and they scored 9/103 off 20 overs in a tight match. Well done boys on a good win for the college. Amongst the best were Luke Yankov, William Newman and Giorgi Tragomalas.

ACC Tennis

Year 10 Tennis –  The year 10 tennis boys played St. Bede’s at Centenary Park Tennis Club. We were excited to play one of the top sides in the division, we didn’t get the win on this occasion but plenty to learn from the experience. The final scores were St. Bede’s 10 sets and 85 games to Salesian 2 sets and 49 games. Amongst the best were Julian Metsios, Vas Michaelides and Adam Kuruvilla.

Year 9 Tennis – The year 9 tennis boys played St. Joseph’s FTG at Oakleigh Tennis Club. The boys played extremely well winning the match 12 sets and 96 games to St. Joseph’s FTG 0 sets and 10 games. Well done on the impressive win boys! Amongst the best were Nick Franklin, Max Schroder and Andrew Byun.

Year 8 Tennis – The year 8 tennis boys played St. Bede’s at Oakleigh Tennis Club. The boys played very well but St. Bede’s were too strong on the day. The final scores were St. Bede’s 8 sets and 67 games to Salesian 4 sets and 47 games. Amongst the best were Timmy Burns, Bayley Richardson and Rahul Sajan.

Year 7 Tennis – The year 7 tennis boys played Whitefriars at Currawong Tennis Club. The boys played well on away soil. The boys won the match very well with the final scores being Salesian 9 sets and 63 games to Whitefriars 3 sets and 34 games. Amongst the best were

ACC Volleyball

Year 10A Volleyball – The year 10A boys played St. Bede’s at Bentleigh East Campus Gym. The boys had a hard day with tough competition, the final scores were St. Bede’s 2 sets and 66 points to Salesian 1 set and 69 points. Amongst the best were Andrew Tan, Matthew Ngodara and Diesel Williams.

Year 10B Volleyball – The year 10B boys played St. Bede’s at Bentleigh East Campus Gym. The boys didn’t get the win but played very well against one of the top schools. The final scores were St. Bede’s 2 sets and 62 points to Salesian 1 set and 70 points. Amongst the best were James McLaughlin, Jun Lee, Ben Prabhu and Calvin Ramachandran.

Year 9A Volleyball – The year 9A boys played St. Joseph’s FTG at Oakleigh Recreation Centre. The boys played very well with winning the match 2 sets and 68 points to St. Joseph’s FTG 1 sets and 52 points. Amongst the best were James Wright, Cooper Fry and Stefan Ivkovic.

Year 9B Volleyball – The year 9B boys played St. Joseph’s at Oakleigh Recreation Centre. The boys played very well with winning the match 3 sets and points 75 to St. Joseph’s FTG 0 sets and 61 points. Amongst the best were Snowy Evans, Nicholas Grillo and Matthew Ramman.

Year 8A Volleyball – The year 8A boys played St. Bede’s at Oakleigh Recreation Centre. The boys played well and got the win on this occasion with the final scores being Salesian 2 sets and 69 points to St. Bede’s 1 set and 64 points. Too many to pick from, so no best players from this week.

Year 8B Volleyball – The year 8B boys played St. Bede’s at Oakleigh Recreation Centre. The boys played well but couldn’t get the win on this occasion with the final scores being Salesian 0 sets and 39 points to St. Bede’s 3 set and 75 points. Too many to pick from, so no best players from this week. Hopefully the boys can rebound next week.

Year 7A Volleyball – The year 7A boys played De La Salle at De La Salle Hall. The boys played well with a hard opposition of De La Salle College. The boys won the match with the final scores being 2 sets and 73 points to De La Salle 1 set and 59 points. Amongst the best were Alexander Diosi, Evan Tsoukalas and Calvin Gillispie. Well done boys.

Year 7B Volleyball – The year 7B boys played De La Salle at De La Salle Hall. The boys played well with a hard opposition of De La Salle College and they knew it was always going to be hard with being on De La Salle’s home turf. The boys won the match with the final scores being 3 sets and 75 points to De La Salle 0 set and 59 points. Amongst the best were James Tanner, Jiho Lee and John Miliotis. Well done boys and it’s been a very good start to the season.
