VCD – The Pitch

VCD – The Pitch

Over the last couple of weeks, Year 12 VCD students have been ‘Pitching’ their development of their Concepts before embarking on their final Visual Communication Design presentations. Teachers and students have been invited to observe and give their constructive feedback. The Pitches cover a variety of design problems; which have included Environmental design such as Architectural Pavilions, Communication designs such as Branding and Identity and Product design such as costume/mask concepts.

Says Noah Sharrock: “The Pitch helped me get feedback, and I also got some ideas that I had not considered before. The overall experiences of making the presentation was good because the process allowed me to analyse my concepts more closely. It was a bit stressful but I found it to be beneficial.”

Says Thiedus Thai – “It was pretty interesting presenting my ideas to the class. The moment you present to others it opened up a lot perspective and it showed me a lot more considerations to think about, when designing. I’m considering doing architecture as a career and by doing the pitch I know what to expect in industry.”
