5 & 10 Year Reunions 2022

Thank you to the students of 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017 who joined us to reflect and remember their Salesian years.

Below is the speech that Principal Mark Ashmore gave on the day, and photos from the event.

Good afternoon and welcome back to our Bosco Campus.
My name is Mark Ashmore and I am the Principal of the College. I thank you coming to today’s Past Pupil Reunion Day, it’s great to see so many faces connecting back with one another, but also the College.
I recognise the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ spiritual and cultural connection to Country and a commitment to Reconciliation, I would like to acknowledge the First Peoples and the Traditional Owners and custodians of the Country on which Salesian is located and respectfully acknowledge our Elders past, present and emerging.

I began as Principal here at Salesian College Chadstone in Term 4 last year and I’m sure you will agree, what a wonderful community and learning environment for boys we have here at Chadstone.

Many of you will have memories as you walk the campus today. As we all know, it’s not the buildings that create these memories, it’s the people who enter our lives during these school years who help pave our story that stays with us I am sure that today will present an opportunity to share stories and laughs of the times at the College that brought you much joy.

Whilst Past Pupils, I very much see that you are, and I invite you to be, part of our future.

Earlier this year we recently released our Strategic Plan 2022 – 2026 to inspire our current and future generations of Salesian boys, their families, past pupils and staff to achieve their potential. Here is a snapshot of what that looks like today at the College.

As we implement our strategic intentions there will be opportunities for past pupils to collaborate with and contribute to the College. Inspiring and mentoring our senior students with pathways and career advice, sharing expertise on our various committees such as those associated with the Board or Hall of Fame dinner, or contributing to our Foundation and just some examples.

We are offering the opportunity to express your interest to promote your business at future events with sponsorship with the aim to connect you to others in our community.

Remember that our door is always open to you – “once a Chaddy boy, always a Chaddy boy.”
