The Unit 3 Business Management course requires students to learn and understand the different management styles. To give students an opportunity to see it in action they were required to work in groups to build the tallest free standing tower out of spaghetti, blu tack and marshmallows.
We recently learned about management styles and business objectives, so that the task we completed was engaging and enjoyable for us to participate in. We had to work together and use our knowledge of management styles and business objectives to create a business environment that was structured and productive. Each group had a manager who represented one of the management styles that we studied. It helped us see and understand the advantages and disadvantages of each management style.
