Mrs Roberts’ World’s Greatest Shave Story

“12V were privileged to have Mrs Roberts visit our class and share her family’s journey with Leukaemia. Mrs Roberts’ father was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in 2016. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia attacks white blood cells in your body, which protects your immune system from bad bacteria. The Leukaemia Foundation helped to support her family after her father’s diagnosis.

Her father fought this battle for over four years. Doctors said if he had he been diagnosed four years earlier (2012) he would have only lived for 6 months, but because of the research conducted by the Leukaemia Foundation, he was able to fight his battle for another 4 years. In those 4 years he was able to see Mrs Robert’s get married and have a child.  He was also watched his son have 2 children.

The World’s Greatest Shave does a lot more than people think, they support families that need assistance. Lots of the money raised goes into research to fight all the different types of Leukaemia.

This year, Mrs Roberts has bravely put her hand up to have her head shaved to honour her late father’s memory.

Please get behind her and donate for this amazing cause. Mrs. Roberts’ personal donation page can be accessed through this link.”
