Over the long weekend, Peter Holland competed in the All School State Athletics. He performed extremely well, taking 5 seconds off from his Personal Best in the 1500m, and 3 seconds off his Personal Best in the 800m. He came 10th in the 1500m, and 7th in the 800m. Congratulations to Peter on these fantastic performances.
Intermediate Sport
Year 9 Cricket – The boys went down in a tough battle against St Bernard’s, after they chased down our score of 10/96. Harrison D’Rozario (18) and Sam Thurston (19) were out best batsmen, while Lleyton Machaya claimed 2 wickets with the ball.
Year 9 Tennis – A close loss against Whitefriars, unfortunately just going down 5 sets to 7. Our best players were Sean Cahill, Dilenne Algama and Marnav Deo.
Year 9 Volleyball – It was a bad day for our Year 9’s, with both of our Volleyball teams going down to Whitefriars. Daniel Amendola, Sebastien Huppe and Aris Polychronopoulos were our best players in the A’s, while Enrique Soria, Narichard Chann and Alvin Yala were our best players in the B’s.
