During our excursion to Richmond FC, we were able to watch Richmond train outside, as well as in their gym. We also got taken through the Punt Road stands and the indigenous history of the club. The most interesting part of the tour was when we learnt about the university program they have running at the club. It was very interesting to hear about this since everyone thought it was a bit unusual to have something like this program at a football club. This excursion helped me understand the history of indigenous people in Melbourne, and how indigenous people have had an impact on football in Australia.
