On Thursday 10th of October both the Year 10 and 11 Music classes went to The Australian Institute of Music (AIM) in the city. We were given a short tour of all of the facilities the institute had to offer and then had our first session with a vocal instructor. He talked to us all about scales and how singing can help us all improve our individual playing, as well as going through singing exercises as a whole group. We performed our own songs in groups or individually and received feedback from an instructor on how to improve our playing as a group and also how to practice more efficiently. Finally, we had a presentation on the music industry and learnt the array of job opportunities available in the music industry.
