Don Bosco’s Oratory Week

Don Bosco’s Oratory Week is fast approaching and students are learning about the work of the Salesians in Fiji, in particular Nasinu, in Religious Education Classes. Boys are learning about the needs of the people of Nasinu, and how we can support them through raising money and awareness.

Many exciting things are planned for Don Bosco’s Oratory Week, with the intention that boys will experience:

  1. Being part of the Salesian Family
  2. Being a faith filled community
  3. Who we are as a multi-cultural and diverse community
  4. The social justice work we dedicate ourselves to
  5. The connection we have to the local community

The week will be filled with fun, faith and festivity.

A few reminders:

  1. Don Bosco’s Oratory Week takes place from Monday 18 June to Friday 22 June.
  2. International Food Order Forms and Walkathon forms and donations are due on Thursday 14 June
  3. The ‘Walk for Nasinu’ Walkathon takes place on Monday 18 June
  4. Salesian Festival Day takes place on Friday 22 June.

All days during the week are aimed at recreating what Don Bosco’s original Oratory looked, sounded and felt like, in our modern context. We look forward to sharing our celebration with you.
