On Wednesday 28 February, sixty-four leaders across Years 8-12 congregated for Student Congress. At this formal event, our leaders brainstormed and debated their own ideas from Term 4 Congress. Our main categories were Education, Sports, Arts/Drama, and General Matters. Our rich and extensive discussions resulted in only eight ideas being discussed, out of around 30! One of the big decisions made was the unanimous vote to dismiss the suggestion of iPads replacing laptops in classrooms. It was great to see the Student Leaders deliberating the benefits versus the downfalls of this idea. We look forward to turning these ideas into formal proposals for the Student Congress events in Terms Two and Three.
