Thank you to all who attended our 2018 Sports Awards Night on Thursday 20 September. With over 400 people in attendance, the night was an enjoyable celebration of the Premiership successes and awards of this year’s ACC Sport season. Congratulations to our very own 2018 Salesian star sportsmen who we celebrated on the night, and thank you to our entertaining sporting legends in attendance, Anthony Koutoufides, Sam Bramham and Scott Jamieson.
A special mention must be made of the Sheridan Asuncion Award, presented by Dr Darren Asuncion (brother of Sheridan and Class of 1998 School Captain), to current Year 12 student Zac Gilbert. 2018 is our inaugural year awarding the Best Team Player Sheridan Asuncion Award to a current student who reflects valuable sporting qualities just like Sheridan. We were saddened to hear of the passing of Sheridan Asuncion (Class of 2000) in February this year. Rest in peace, Sheridan – may your memory live on and inspire today’s students.
