Salesian College Chadstone and Per Vocem Vita Partnership

Salesian College Chadstone and Per Vocem Vita are excited to announce a new partnership. This comes from weeks of productive dialogue and meetings between Per Vocem Vita and the College.

Per Vocem Vita is a youth-staffed and youth-led community organisation that runs Public Speaking and Debating Workshops for free to young people in primary schools. Per Vocem Vita has travelled into multiple Primary Schools in the area including St Leonards Primary School in Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley Primary School and St Scholastica’s Primary School in Burwood. Founded in 2022 by then-Year 9 student Thomas Maguire-Nguyen, Per Vocem Vita has taught hundreds of primary schoolers in the surrounding areas from Grades 5 and 6. Nearly all volunteers of Per Vocem Vita are in high school, many come from Salesian College Chadstone and its surrounding schools.

Per Vocem Vita workshops provide lifelong skills and talents for those in primary school. In one of the sessions, students will learn about gesturing, rebuttal skills, speechwriting, critical thinking and presentation skills.

The College and Per Vocem Vita are excited about this new partnership, and look forward to this ongoing relationship.

Many thanks to all of those involved that made this happen.
