The Year 7 Cricket team embarked on a short, 5-game season at the start of Term 4 and came across some very talented players from several different schools.
We were outmatched in most of the games, but the boys represented the school to the best of their ability and always played in the right spirit with a positive attitude.
Our strongest batsman was Joshua A, who also did a great job behind the stumps. The two bowlers who gave the opposition the most trouble were probably Cohen and Seth.
A special mention to Jack D, who filled in at short notice in 2 matches after boys were ill or injured. He trained with the squad and gave his best effort when he played – it was great to have him involved.
Thank you to Mr Nagle and Mr Loonstra for all of their work behind the scenes, ensuring the smooth running of our season.
