ACC Cricket
Year 9 Cricket
The Year 9 cricket boys took on Parade College at Yulong Reserve. The boys had a big bus trip and were ready to face a very good side in Parade. We batted first, making 5/90 off 20 overs. Parade put on the pads and played really well to chase this down, winning the match in the 19th over. The final score for Parade was 7/92 off 19 overs. Good effort, boys, and hopefully, the competitive games can continue in the future weeks.
Year 10 Cricket
The Year 10 cricket boys took on St. Joseph’s FTG at Salesian College (Bosco Oval). The boys batted first, and it was a beautiful day for cricket. They made a solid 4/94 off 20 overs. St. Joseph’s FTG batted after us and made 6/98 off 20 overs in a thrilling match. Well done to both teams for playing an exciting game of cricket for Year 10.
Year 9A & B Volleyball
The Year 9 volleyball boys took on St. Joseph’s FTG at the State Volleyball Centre (Dandenong). The A boys played first and won the match in style. The final scores were 3 sets and 75 points to 0 sets and 32 points. The B boys played next, trying to do the same as the A’s. Unfortunately, the B boys didn’t play as well as they would have liked, losing the match with scores of 3 sets and 75 points to 0 sets and 54 points.
Year 10A & B Volleyball
The Year 10 volleyball boys took on St. Joseph’s FTG at Ashburton Pool & Recreation Centre. The boys had a tough match against St. Joseph’s FTG as they are very strong in volleyball. The A boys played first but couldn’t secure the win this time, with scores of 2 sets and 65 points to 1 set and 66 points. The B boys played next, putting up a good game but failing to win, with scores of 2 sets and 74 points and 1 set and 69 points.
Year 9 Tennis
The Year 9 boys took on St. Joseph’s FTG at Ferntree Gully Tennis Club. The boys started well and finished the game strongly. The final scores were 9 sets and 60 games to St. Joseph’s 3 sets and 38 games. The boys played well and seem to be on track for the finals later in the year. Well done, boys, and hopefully, they can continue to make Salesian proud.
Year 10 Tennis
The Year 10 boys took on St. Joseph’s FTG at Oakleigh Tennis Club. The boys played really well in favorable conditions to secure the win. The final scores were 12 sets and 96 games to 0 sets and 4 games. Well done, boys, and hopefully, this form can continue, leading Salesian to the finals later in the year.
