Year 10 Fundraising Campaign for Cambodia

Our Year 10’s have been hard at work focusing on raising much needed funds for young Cambodians in the lead up to Don Bosco’s Oratory Week. With Salesian aiming to raise $50,000 for the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia, students in Year 10 put their thinking caps on to come up with innovative ways of raising funds. The following activities have taken place over the last two weeks:

  • A raffle
  • ‘Guess the number of lollies in the jar’ fundraiser
  • Spare change box
  • Trivia
  • Footy Kick Off
  • Smash Brothers Tournament
  • Hot Chocolate Fundraiser

Last week, our Year 10 students also organised a Staff vs Students Soccer Game at lunch time. It was great to see so many spectators eagerly watch the fierce competition – and what a great way to raise money for those in need in Cambodia.

Only one week to go until Don Bosco’s Oratory Week! A big thank you to Robbie Miller and Mitchell Savic in Year 10 for championing the Year 10 Fundraising Campaign, and to Mr Byron Chen for his organising efforts.
