During 2017, our Biretta classes worked on projects based on protecting the environment. The Year 7 Biretta class in particular explored the production, use, disposal and impact of single use water bottles, raising the question, ‘Why do we need plastic water bottles in our canteen?’ Based on their research, it was evident that we needed to ‘ban the bottle’ at Salesian College.
As a result, the Canteen is no longer selling single use drink bottles. However, they are selling reusable Salesian drink bottles for $2! We encourage all students to purchase one, keep hydrated and help improve the state of our environment.
