Anzac Day Services

Salesian College Chadstone had a significant presence in our community yesterday during the Anzac Day commemoration services. Our student leaders Ben Brooks (College Captain), Dylan Rayen and James McLaughlin (College Vice Captains) supported by Miss Molly O’Shea (Student Leadership & Empowerment Leader), Mr Richard Bourbon (Assistant Principal – Students and Engagement) and our Principal, Mr Mark Ashmore attended the Anzac Day Dawn Service at the Oakleigh/Carnegie RSL. During the service they laid a wreath and paid their respects to the fallen. Additionally, we were well-represented in the Anzac Day march held at The Shrine and through the City. Our very own Mr Matt Little (Squadron Leader), Director of Music is also a Shrine Governor, a post he was awarded after 26 years in the RAF(UK), hosting the High Commissioner UK, British Consul and NZ Ambassador. On the march as part of Australian Youth band (AYO) students Christian Engelander (Year 10) and Patrick Cherry (Year 12), alumni Tyler Skarajew (Class of 2023), along with Lisa Dupy (Classroom teacher), gave rousing performances along the route to The Shrine. We are incredibly proud of how our community represented the College yesterday.
Lest We Forget.
