TO MEET THIS STANDARD THE COLLEGE MUST ENSURE
- Families, carers and guardians participate in decisions affecting their child.
- The college engages with and openly communicates with families and the community about its child safe approach and relevant information is accessible.
- Families, carers and guardians and communities have a say in the development and review of the College’s policies and procedures.
- Families, carers and guardians, and the community are informed about the College’s operations and governance.
HOW IS THE COLLEGE IMPLEMENTING THIS STANDARD
- The College delivers a parent engagement workshop program
- Parent Association consulted on Child Safety strategies, improvements and initiatives
- Website accessibility for the Salesian community, with child safety information readily available
- Pastoral, Wellbeing and Learning Diversity meetings regarding a student are inclusive of families, carers and guardians
