Recently, in our College Chapel, seven boys from Years 7 and 8 received the Catholic Church’s Sacraments of Initiation. On this special occasion, two boys were baptised, and all seven were confirmed by Bishop Anthony Ireland. Before Mass, Fr Kelly Kam from our Salesian community guided the boys through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
The Sacramental Mass was attended by the boys’ parents and sponsors, along with peers and teachers from each Oratory class. To prepare for this significant day, the boys took part in various preparation lessons with Mrs Barcellona, Miss Zhang, and Dr Barclay.
After Mass, a luncheon was held in the Jennings Room, where Bishop Anthony cut a specially made Confirmation cake to mark the occasion. Congratulations to the boys on receiving the Sacraments of the Church, which will nourish and sustain them on their spiritual journeys.
