ACC Cricket
Year 7 Cricket
The Year 7 cricket team faced a challenging match against Parade College at their home ground. The boys were eager as they arrived in Bundoora. Batting first, they scored 34 runs, losing all wickets in 14 overs. Parade chased this down successfully, but well done to the team for a spirited season! We hope to see you continue in ACC cricket.

Year 8 Cricket
The Year 8 team competed against Whitefriars at Whitefriars College. While the boys were excited, there was also a hint of sadness as it was the season’s last game. Batting first, they scored 56 runs off 20 overs, putting pressure on their bowlers. Despite a strong effort, Whitefriars managed to chase the total in 14 overs.

Year 9 Cricket
The Year 9 cricket team took on St Joseph’s Geelong at Salesian College’s Bosco Oval. Facing one of the stronger ACC teams, the boys bowled first, aiming to keep the score low. They did well to restrict St Joseph’s to 138 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. The chase began under changing weather conditions, but after only three overs, the game was called off due to bad weather.

Year 10 Cricket
The Year 10 team played against St Joseph’s FTG at their Oval. Excited to play away, the boys bowled first, limiting the opposition to 130 runs in 20 overs. However, similar to the Year 9 match, rain interrupted play early in Salesian’s batting, and the game was called off in the second over.

ACC Volleyball
Year 7 Volleyball (A+B)
The Year 7 volleyball team faced St Bede’s at Oakleigh Recreation Centre. The A team played first, aiming for a strong finish before finals. They won a close match, with a final score of 2 sets and 70 points to St Bede’s 1 set and 67 points. The B team followed, eager to finish their season with a win, and they succeeded, closing the match with a score of 2 sets and 73 points to 1 set and 67 points.

Year 8 Volleyball (A+B)
The Year 8 team played Parade at the RMIT Sports Centre. Despite high spirits, they couldn’t secure a win in the last matches of the season. With other games still to be decided, there’s a chance they might make the finals, so we’ll have to wait and see!

Year 9 Volleyball (A+B)
The Year 9 team competed against St Bede’s at Springers Leisure Centre. The A team played a tight match, finishing with 2 sets and 65 points to St Bede’s 1 set and 65 points. The B team followed, playing hard but narrowly missing victory, with a final score of 2 sets and 72 points to 1 set and 63 points. Well done to both teams for their effort!

Year 10 Volleyball (A+B)
The Year 10 volleyball team took on St Bede’s at Oakleigh Recreation Centre. Facing a tough match, the A team played well but were narrowly defeated, with a score of 2 sets and 72 points to 1 set and 64 points. The B team followed, and this time Salesian secured a win, ending with 2 sets and 65 points to St Bede’s 1 set and 61 points. Great effort, boys!

ACC Tennis

Year 7 Tennis
The Year 7 tennis team played Parade at their college courts for the last game of the season, hoping to end on a high note. Although they fought hard, the final score was Parade 12 sets and 73 games to Salesian’s 0 sets and 20 games. Good effort, and we hope to see you continue playing tennis at the College in the future.

Year 8 Tennis
The Year 8 tennis team played Parade College at Oakleigh Tennis. Eager to finish the season well, the boys played hard but couldn’t secure a win. The final score was Parade 12 sets and 72 games to Salesian’s 0 sets and 11 games.
Year 9 Tennis: The Year 9 team competed against St Bede’s at their tennis courts. Facing a strong opponent, the boys put in a valiant effort, but were ultimately outplayed, with the final score being Salesian 0 sets and 14 games to St Bede’s 12 sets and 80 games.

Year 10 Tennis
The Year 10 tennis team faced St Joseph’s FTG at Oakleigh Tennis, battling through challenging weather with late rain and strong winds. Fortunately, they finished their matches before the worst of the weather arrived. The final score was Salesian 9 sets and 83 games to St Joseph’s 3 sets and 67 games. Well done, boys!
