ACC Sports Report

ACC Football

Year 7 Football- The year 7 football boys took on St. Bernard’s at Salesian College Bosco Oval. The boys had a tough loss with St. Bernard’s playing really well. The final scores were 47-20. Amongst the best were Sebastian Bayard, Angus Chetwin and Joshua Antony.

Year 8 Football- The year 8 football boys took on St. Bernard’s at St. Bernard’s (Murphy Oval). The boys had a tough match going to the ‘snake pit’ out in Essendon. The boys started well and finished well with winning the match 59-15. Amongst the best were Noah Montgomery, William Newman, Brodie Downes & Harry Cashman. Well done boys!

Year 9 Football- The year 9 football boys took on Mazenod College at Mazenod College Johnson Oval. The boys knew it was going to be a hard match as both sides were very similar in ability. The final scores were 60-50 with Mazenod coming out with the win. Amongst the best were Jamie Mandile, Lucas Smith and Angus Cormack.

Year 10 Football- The year 10 football boys took on Mazenod College at Salesian College Bosco Oval. The boys knew it was their last game for the college and unfortunately didn’t go as well as they wanted. The final scores were 149-21 in the end with Mazenod coming out with the victory. Well done on the season boys. Amongst the best were Billy Kakarantzas, Christian Franzoni and Samuel Iverson.

Senior Football- The senior football boys took on St. Mary’s at Wattie Watson Oval. The boys played in very windy and hard conditions. The final scores were 72 to 52 with a St. Mary’s win. Amongst the best were Christian Moraes, Brodie Vanderhorst and Isaac McKnight.

 

ACC Soccer

 Year 7B Soccer- The year 7B soccer boys took on St. Bede’s Mentone at Aspendale Soccer Club. The boys knew it was a tough match with St. Bede’s being a very strong side. The final scores were 3-1 with a Salesian Victory. Amongst the best were Louis Papoulias, Ryan Pandey and Andreis Chester. Well done boys!

Year 7A Soccer- The year 7A soccer boys took on De La Salle at Mannix Soccer Pitch. The boys played well and needed to for a finals spot. The final scores were 7-0 with a Salesian victory. Too many boys in the best, well done boys and hopefully another win next week.

Year 8B Soccer- The year 8B soccer boys took on Mazenod at Mannix Soccer Pitch. The boys played really well and had a tough match against Mazenod. In tough conditions Salesian won the match 1-0. Amongst the best were Isaac Aoun, Aurelien Kong Shing Cheong and Steven Grammaticopoulos. Well done boys and good luck for finals in a few weeks.

Year 8A Soccer- The year 8A soccer boys took on Parade College at Mannix Soccer Pitch. The boys knew it was going to be a hard match against Parade, they have many good soccer teams across all year levels. The final scores were 5-1 with a Parade victory in the end. Amongst the best were Yianni Spyropoulos, Heze Yu and Sopho Papamarkou.

Year 9B Soccer- The year 9B soccer boys took on St. Bernard’s at St. Bernard’s Soccer Pitch. The boys knew it was going to be a hard match going to the snake pit in St. Bernard’s. The final scores being 0-0 in the end. Amongst the best were Nichols Katanas, Jojo Manual and Noah White. Well done boys and good luck for finals.

Year 9A Soccer- The year 9A soccer boys took on St. Bernard’s at Mannix Soccer Pitch. The boys had a tough match, against one of the stronger schools in the competition. The boys toughed it out but the final scores were 4-1 in the end with a St. Bernard’s victory. Amongst the best were Ethan Gemetzis, Christina Noga and Theo Wong. Good luck for finals.

Year 10 Soccer- The year 10 soccer boys took on Emmanuel College at Mannix Soccer Pitch. The boys knew they had to win for a top spot in the finals. The boys played well to win the match 7-4 in the end with a Salesian victory. Amongst the best were Emmanuel Dimitrakakis, Kosta Nikolopoulos and Christian Vincenzini. Well done boys and good luck for finals.

Senior B Soccer- The senior b soccer boys took on Parade at Mannix Soccer Pitch. The boys played well and needed a win for a top two spot in the finals. The final scores were 5-1 with a Salesian victory in the end. Amongst the best were Ryan McCrea, Yokwan Kak and Gavin Tone. Well done boys and good luck for finals.

Senior A Soccer- The senior A soccer boys took on Parade at Gardiners Reserve Synthetic. The boys needed a win for a top two spot in the finals. The boys played well in tough conditions. The final scores were 4-2 in the end with a Salesian victory. Amongst the best were Christos Babatsias, Steven Sakellarios and Christopher Petrakis. Well done boys and good luck for finals.

 

ACC Junior Badminton

 Junior Badminton- The junior badminton boys took on St. Bede’s at St. Bede’s Sports Centre. The boys knew it was a tough match up especially at there home. The final scores were 10 matches 26 sets to 2 matches and 10 sets. Amongst the best were Elbert Kim, Mashashi Ogino and Jesse Gosal.

Intermediate Badminton- The intermediate badminton boys took on St. Bernard’s at Mt Waverley Badminton Centre. The boys did really well winning the match with 11 matches and 33 sets to 1 match and 3 sets. Amongst the best were Jayden Lim, Domenic Sejas and Francis John Macasa. Well done boys and good luck for finals.

Senior Badminton- The senior badminton boys took on Simonds at MSAC. The boys played really well with winning the match in style. The final scores were 11 matches and 30 sets to 1 match and 6 sets. Amongst the best were Farrell Susilo, Adam Kuruvilla and Alexander Chann. Well done boys and good luck for finals.
