ACC Football

 

Senior Football- The senior boys had there first game for the season with winning against Mazenod at Mazenod College 17.14.116 to 3.6.24. There were plenty of best places for the day but among the best were Andrew Avramopoulos, Mitch Wain and Max Sykes. Great start for the boys especially defeating a very strong side Mazenod College. Congratulations to the boys on there first win for the season.

Year 10 Football- The year 10 boys had there first game for the season with winning against St. Mary’s 17.11.113 to 4.4.28. Plenty of new faces to the side this year and plenty were very good. The boys among the best were Ricky Theodoropoulos, Spencer Mathieson and Charlie Cochrane. Great win to start the season for the year 10 football boys.

Year 9 Football- The year 9 boys were very excited especially playing in front of a home crowd. Tough opposition De La Salle got over us 12.13.85 to 1.1.7. Among the best players were Sasha Ung, Cooper Fry and Tom Davidson. The boys are excited to give it another crack next Tuesday and hope for a better result.

Year 8 Football- The year 8 boys had tough opponents St. Bede’s, they fell short with a very strong come back during the 3rd quarter. The boys lost 14.14.98 to 7.3.45. A very competitive effort and hopefully can bring that to next week. Amongst the best players were Mitch Langworthy, Finn Shaw and Harly Billing. Well done to those boys.

Year 7 Football- The year 7 boys had tough opponents De La Salle College. Salesian boys playing in front of the home crowd for the first time being at the college. Salesian boys won 4.18.42 to 3.0.18. Amongst the best players were Brodie Downes, Oskar McCulloch and Noah Montgomery. Well done to the boys playing at home for the first time.

 

 

ACC Soccer

 

Senior A Soccer- The senior A boys had there first game for the season. The boys travelled to St. Bernard’s College. Bernards got over the line 5-2. They have a very strong side and will go deep into finals. Amongst the best players were James Ballantyne, Steven Sakellarios and Dimitri Palatsides. Hopefeully the boys can come back next week and have a better performance.

Senior B Soccer- The senior B boys had there first game for the seaspn. The boys played in front of a home crowd against St. Bernards. Unfortunaley not the result they wanted with going down 9-1. Good effort by the boys with a lot of disruptions to the side. Hopefully a better week next week. Amongst the best players were Kosta Balakas, Camillo Angelucci and Andreas Karvelas.

Year 10 Soccer- The year 10 boys played against a very strong and competive St. Joseph’s Geelong side. Salesian boys travelled a long way to Geelong, they didn’t get the win but did extremely well to stay with the opposition. Amongst the best players were Derick Maimarosia, Diesel Williams and Christos Babatsias. Well done for the boys and hopefully next week they have a better result.

Year 9A Soccer- The year 9A boys played St. Bede’s at home. The boys had a very strong performance winning 11-1. St. Bede’s were very strong but it shows the depth of the boys. Amongst the best players were Jack Peluso, Nick Grillo and Josh Athas. Well done to those boys.

Year 9B Soccer- The year 9B boys played Parade at Parade College. A big road trip to Bundoora. A very competitive outing from both sides for the day Parade got up 2-1 with only leading 1-0 at half time. Well done to those boys on the day. Very hard to go out on big road trips and be very compeitive for a long period of time. Amongst the best players were Matt Ramman, Peter Koupouzos and Anthony Oresti.

Year 8A Soccer- The year 8A boys played Simmonds College. A very strong performace for the boys with winning 10-0. Amongst the best players were Ethan Gemetzis, Sachi Kiridena and Jame Rashio. Well done to those boys on the victory and have started the season undefeated.

Year 8B Soccer- The year 8B boys had a bye and will be playing there first game for the season next week.

Year 7A Soccer- The year 7A boys had to travel to the famous ‘snake pit’, St. Bernard’s College. The boys knew it was going to be a hard day with St. Bernard’s being a very strong soccer school. A very close and compeitive game from the boys going down 1-0. Good signs for the boys and something to build on for next week. Amongst the best players were Harry Valetine, Sopho Papamarkou and Will Scalzi.

Year 7B soccer- The year 7B boys had a very strong performance winning 5-1 against St. Bede’s. Amongst the best players were Brian Phung, Evan Tsoukalas and Samuele Pozzoli. Well done to the boys and hopefully they can bring that form into next week.
