On Friday 8 April, we celebrated our end of term Whole School Assembly for 2022. The assembly was live streamed to Oratory classes, with our 2022 Year 7 and 11 students in our live audience in the Chapel. At the assembly, we took the time to acknowledge Mrs Mary Menz for her service and dedication to Salesian College over many years as a student, parent and staff member in the roles of Uniform Shop, Registrar and Personal Assistant to the Principal.
2022 College Captain Daniel Amendola and Mum Silvana Amendola paid tribute to Mary in their moving speech.
“On behalf of all the students at Salesian college, I would like to sincerely thank you, for your relentless work and dedication to us, throughout your Salesian journey. Your kind, nurturing and caring attitude are inspiring characteristics, that I’m sure we all hope to embody in our lives. The work you have continued to do behind the scenes is something that has never gone unnoticed by neither myself or the rest of the boys here at Salesian College. I truly wish you the very best for all your future endeavors and I appreciate all that you have done for not only myself, but for our entire community.”
As a community we importantly acknowledged outstanding student achievements and reflected on the Gospel Easter message.
