ACC Triathlon

The ACC Triathlon took place on Sunday 27th March. It was held at Catani Gardens, St Kilda. It was the 2XU Series Race 6, the boys underwent a 300m swim, 13km bike ride and 2km run. The race started 7am, it was good to see the commitment the boys had to represent the school in the triathlon. All the boys did really well, in particular Liam Scott with a 40:07, Jack Allan with a 49:52, Snowy Evans with a 53:38 and Timmy Burns 56:35. The boys combined had 03:20:12 for our best 4 individual times for the school, which was the best combined time for the day. Outstanding competition from St Bernard’s, St Joseph’s FTG, St Mary’s and St Patrick’s. Everyone being there made the day to see all schools and everyone happy and smiling. Our team event we finished behind St Mary’s with Salesian’s time of 51:36 behind St Mary’s 47:36. Congratulations to St Mary’s, still very impressing to come 2nd in the team event. A massive thank you to Scott Peacock and Steven Loonstra, without them the boys wouldn’t be able to participate on the day.

Salesian College finished with 541.5 points with winning the championship in Division 2. It was good to see all the boys happy and extremely proud of each other after the carnival. Next year we will be heading to Division 1, I’m sure the boys will be wrapped and excited to be back in Division 1. A huge thank you to Maddie and Gerald for helping training and coaching. Another huge thanks to Steven Loonstra, Stephen Sellwood and Jayden Hawkes for assisting and helping the boys. The event couldn’t of run without any one of these people.
