Senior Volleyball- (Didn’t have a game). Our volleyball team had a bye this week. Didn’t stop Mr. Egan having a training session with them. Volleyball A squad will be playing in a final against Parade College this upcoming week.
Senior Tennis- Our tennis team had a practice match against Mazenod College. It was a well fought out match with Salesian winning 5 sets to 4 in the singles. Then the doubles was a draw with 2 sets to 2. Closest match all year, good to see familiar faces play well with Avellino Jones and Dilenne Algama winning comfortably. The tennis team will be playing St. Bede’s College in their first finals outing this coming week.
Senior Cricket- Our cricket team didn’t have their best performance yesterday will falling short to Parade College. Salesian made 107 after 19.3 overs. Parade chased it down with 5 overs to spare. Amongst the best players were Prajay Paramesh with 32 off 18 balls and Sam Ison with 2 wickets. Salesian have a home final this week at Salesian College (Main Oval) against St. Josephs’ FTG. A special mention to Jack Iverson who has made 364 runs in the home and away season. Really impressive effort!
