Over the course of Term 4, the Year 10 PreCAL students were tasked with researching war veterans who have served in a variety of conflicts throughout history. The boys busily searched for information relating to their chosen veteran, including where they served, what roles they had and the legacy they have left behind. Some students chose to investigate family relatives, others chose veterans whose stories resonated with their own. The boys did an exceptional job at creating portfolios that reflects the sacrifices that past servicemen and servicewomen have made for our country. The portfolios were shared with each Oratory class where further commemorative work was completed in each year level. The work conducted by the students breathes life into the memory of these men and women and reminds each of us of the importance of why we must “… remember them”.
