Application is always one of the key objects of learning another language. In Term 4, our Year 8 Chinese program focuses on how we can apply our learning content into the real-life situation. In the most recent topic “shopping and bargaining”, our year 8 students have applied their Chinese learning into making an advertisement of a product in Chinese with one-minute oral product description. As the teacher, I must admit that I enjoyed watching their advertisements, I was almost tempted to buy some of them! Their advertisements were very creative, attractive and informative. Congratulations to them. They achieved another milestone on their Chinese learning journey during this challenging COVID lock-down time. Well done, boys!
