Book Week Drawing Competition

The Visual Arts Department in partnership with the Rua Resource Centre celebrated Book Week by creating a drawing competition.

The competition ran mid-way through Term 3, and was open to all Year levels. The theme was “Old World, New World, Other World”, and with this theme came drawings with varied inspiration from science fiction and fantasy books to stories based on the Greek Classics and ancient civilisations.

We had a lot of entries from Year 7, 8 and 9, and some Year 10s and 11s entered also.

The following students were winners in the respective year levels:

Year 7: Xavier Arnott

Year 8: Julian De Marco

Year 9: Nicolas Katakis

Year 10: Morgan Wenas

Year 11: Pramishka De Alwis

There were a lot of great entries, and others were very close, but the above did an amazing job.

Congratulations to our winners and to everyone who participated in this competition. Thank you to Mrs Khambete and Josh Bryan in the Library who deliberated and judged the competition.
