Year 8 Experiential Day: Democracy

Today our Year 8 students worked with the Victorian Electoral Commission to learn all about democracy, and the Australian voting system. Boys developed their own political parties, and formulated policies based on issues involving human rights and other topics. Students considered the elements that contribute to a great speech, and delivered their speeches based on their political party’s agenda. The day concluding with a mock election, where students voted on their chosen parties.
