Mathematics Investigation Task

On Thursday 15 July, we started our Mathematics topic on the Unit Circle. As always, we began with a guided investigation task. We looked at a circle of unit length, meaning it has a radius of 1, that lies on a cartesian plane. Drawing on our understanding of the trigonometric ratios and using the 360 degrees of the circle, we calculated the coordinates of different points along the circumference of the circle. Once completed, the investigation provided a visualisation and helped us understand how the sides of a triangle and reference angle are related.
