Learning Conferences

I write to advise that Term 3 Learning Conferences will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 21 July and Wednesday 28 July.

The feedback collected from families following our Term 1 Learning Conferences has led to changes for Term 3. Please note that:

  • Students will work remotely from home on both these days.
  • Students will be assigned independent work and will be asked to complete set tasks as per their timetabled classes.
  • Teachers will upload lesson instructions for students to access by 8.30 am on SIMON and all lesson material will be accessible to parents/guardians via PAM.
  • Approved vulnerable students who are unable to work from home will be permitted to work from the Library (RRC) from 8.45 am – 3.30 pm. Parents and guardians are asked to complete this form to indicate intentions by Monday 19 July 2021.

Senior ACC students must make themselves available to represent the College. They may work onsite in the Library (RRC) prior to their afternoon sporting commitments if they wish.

Learning Conferences will commence at 1.00 pm and follow the structure below:

Session 1: 1.00 – 3.00pm

Break: 3.00 – 3.30pm

Session 2: 3.30 – 5.30pm

Break: 5.30 – 6.30pm

Session 3: 6.30 – 8.30pm

Student Led Conferences

Student-Led Conferences will again take place with Oratory Leaders. These are compulsory for all students. Students will lead the conference as they review the goals that they set earlier this year. Student-Led Conferences will be open for bookings from Wednesday 14 July.

Learning Conferences

Students and parents/guardians will also have the opportunity to meet with individual subject teachers if they wish, or, if the teacher has made a request. If a teacher has requested a conference, either Recommended or Strongly Recommended will appear next to the subject name. Learning Conferences will be open for bookings from Friday 16 July.
